Let’s refer back to the Musical Pairing series and I can say with 100 percent certainty that I alluded to several songs either by name or lyrics when writing Fallen Through. As already discussed, Last Kiss was the main inspiration and song that is repeatedly referenced to throughout my novel, but there were single references throughout.
One example is in Chapter Fourteen where “The Only High” is referenced to in Tyler’s line “she is the only high I will never need”. As I make my way through this mini series discussing literary devices, I will revisit this and elaborate on some more songs that were referenced to, but in the mean time, can you see any more connections?
