Towards the end of the novel, chapter 31 if I’m not mistaken, Della mentions that she’s staying in room 907. This is a direct reference to July 9th, which is the most important day in the novel and sacred to Tyler and Della’s relationship. They both believed that this was the most perfect day in their relationship, though we, the audience, knows that this was not the case. I also purposefully made this the number as Tyler and Della both still wholeheartedly believe that they can get their relationship back to the way it was during the last trip. This little nod to this date lets us know our character’s ultimate goal in becoming strong again, just like it was on July 9th.
