Adore – Dean Lewis
Still capitalising on the previous chapter’s emotion, we were still very much in that bubble. Despite the temporary scare for the night with the accident that took place, the urgency of the situation reaffirmed our love for each other. Any threat that risked tearing us apart was countered by our love. We adored each other and I remember wanting to give any and everything to be with him. I would’ve given all the money I could just so we could spend time together and have the perfect evening.
Even when he left to go home for the day, I just wanted to be back there next to him. It was very scary being a freshly eighteen-year-old in a strange city and not having him by my side. I needed him and I reached out seeking comfort, and he agreed to be there for me.
The end of an almost perfect night with daylight signalling the end of it was melancholic, and it was nearly time to face reality… That my time in Sydney was almost up and I soon had to say goodbye.
