So I had some feedback from my editor regarding my novel… And that it’s too long for a romance novel. They suggested cutting anywhere from 40-60k words, which is a huge chunk of story and work. I’m terrified to part with it as I’d have no idea which content is irrelevant to the story due to my involvement with it.
However, it has ignited a new idea and that is potentially turning Fallen Through into a trilogy series where I can divide and add content across three novels, but expand the lore and legacy of this story.
The titles of the novels would be… MINOR SPOILER CONTENT WARNING.
Falling For (the initial excitement when trying drugs and the initial spark and relationship between Tyler and Della)
Falling Down (When the continued drug usage starts to fracture their relationship and Tyler’s future)
Fallen Through (The outcome of the relationship between Tyler and Della and exploring Tyler’s continued journey with using drugs)
It would be a lot more work, but I feel there is so much more I’d love to add and expand upon, but I’m really considering it.
