Brandy (You’re A Fine Girl) – Looking Glass
Funnily enough, this song was once captured on video and is another instance based on pure fiction. This moment actually occurred during the first visit, in June, but instead of including it back during Chapter Five/Six, I thought I’d place it here due to the mention of being “The One” at the conclusion of this chapter.
I was filming Tyler while he played his cheesy music from the eighties, though I do suspect his recent obsession was due to just having watched Guardians of The Galaxy Vol 2. Anyhoo, he was listening to this song, and looked straight at me when singing the line “What a good wife you would be.” Now, we both hadn’t said we loved each other at this stage, but I think I knew deep down then and there that we were. After the events between us transpired, I often used to watch the video back and his dark eyes were just full of so much love and I always wondered “what the fuck happened to us?”
Afterward, this song became a staple to our relationship and I thought to pair this song to this situation due to the promise of marriage and children one day. We both thought it was “the perfect day” in our relationship and the happiest we ever once were. However, as you, Dear Reader, will see, this isn’t quite the case upon reflection due to the cracks we tried hiding with bandaids.
